Benefits of EPS Roof Insulation
|
|
|
EPS roof insulation has no thermal drift and does not use
blowing agents that diffuse out of the insulation. Expanded
polystyrene roof insulation R-Values remain stable over its
entire life and does not experience thermal drift or loss of
R-Value.
Manufacturing procedures for roof insulation that are
identified in quality control manuals include: material
tracing, in-plant testing of product, random sampling of
product by outside independent laboratories and labeling of
finished product for in-field identification.
The quality assurance program is the most
comprehensive in the expanded polystyrene (EPS) roof
insulation industry. It allows for complete code compliance,
certification to critical physical properties and roof
listings from UL, FM and others.
EPS roof insulation is recyclable and
environmentally friendly. It contains no CFCs, HFCs, HCFCs
or formaldehyde, and it comes with a 20-year thermal
warranty. |

Flat Roof Insulation
Foam-Control® Flat Roof Insulation
provides high long-term R-Value of EPS and labor-saving face
laminates. Suitable for use with all roofing membrane
materials, expanded polystyrene (EPS) roof insulation is
compatible with loose-laid and attached single-ply
membranes, conventional built-up roofing or modified bitumen
systems.
Foam-Control® Flat Roof Insulation is unfaced EPS and is suitable
for use with loosely laid single-ply membranes. Flat EPS
Roof Insulation is also used with conventional BUR and
mechanically or adhesively attached single-ply and modified
bitumen membranes when field-applied coverboards are used.
Boards are standard 4'x4' and 4'x8' sizes.

Direct-to-Deck EPS Roof Insulation

Direct-to-Deck expanded polystyrene (EPS) is a cost-effective,
durable and energy-efficient solution for roof insulation. With
the release of ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-2043, expanded
polystyrene (EPS) roof insulation can be applied directly over
steel roof decks without the use of a code-specified thermal
barrier, resulting in reduced material and labor costs.
Direct-to-Deck EPS roof insulation is
compatible with all major roofing materials and assemblies.
Additional benefits, such as design flexibility, resistance
to moisture and high R-Value, make EPS
roof insulation the preferred roofing solution among
Contractors, Architects and Engineers.
ICC-ES Code Evaluation for Direct-to-Deck Roof Insulation
ICC-ES Evaluation Report ESR-2043 approves EPS to be applied
directly over steel roof decks as a component of a Class A,
B or C roof covering.
