straight grained timber and has a beautiful amber color. It
is ideal for the log home builder, due to a variety of
qualities. With its low shrinkage, tendency to lie flat and
fasteners that it holds well, our 1x8 inch western
red cedar wood
siding is a wonderful wood to work with. It is of
the lightest commercial softwoods and an easy wood to shape.
There is little pitch and resin in the wood so it can be
finished easily and you're not limited in choice of coatings
since you can choose stains, oils, paints and other solid
coatings.
