Log Railing
Northern White Cedar Log Railing
Northern White Cedar log railing is one of the most attractive and long lasting species of wood available on the market today. It is extremely resistant to decay even when used close to the ground. White Cedar can be left to weather to a silvery grey or is easily stained with a wide variety of wood finishes. White Cedar has the best natural resistance to decay by far with an average service life of 27 years. It is a stable wood and will resist warping and shrinking better than most. There will, however, be cracking which happens during the natural process of drying. Cracks and splits are characteristic of northern white cedar and are not manufacturing defects and do not affect the quality or performance of the product.
Our log railing is offered in a standard section of 3″ top and bottom rails with 3″ spindles or 4″ top and bottom rails with 3″ spindles. We also offer other spindle options such as 3/4″ powder coated pipe in black or oil rubbed bronze or 1/2″ black spiral metal rods. See pricing below. Most railing is always instock.
