Please note just a few requests we ask of the purchaser regarding shipping:

  • Please provide a correct and accurate shipping address
  • Please have available a sufficient number of persons and/or equipment to unload the materials at the job site at the time of delivery
  • Inspect materials for any shortage or damage caused during shipping, as East Tennessee Building Supply is not responsible for damage that occurs after the carrier picks up the products.
  • In the unlikely event of damage or shortage, please specifically note this on the bill of lading or delivery ticket. Some carriers will not allow claims if it has not been noted on the bill of lading. If the driver will not wait for inspection, please note this on the bill of lading.

  • Claims for damage or shortage need to be filed directly with the carrier within 24 hours. Though this responsibility lies with the purchaser, please also contact East Tennessee Building Supply within 24 hours.
